Once discovered, Roffler-trained hair-specialists (and Roffler products), were sought out nation wide. Edmond "POP" Roffler of Coral Gables Florida, brought his European method of hairstyling to America in 1958. While new in America many European haircutters had seen this technique before. Today the Roffler method is not widely known in the USA nor is it widely taught in hairstyling schools. "POP" Roffler developed a training system and later franchised people to practice the Roffler Sculpture Kut under his trademark. In 1966 a group of Roffler stylists won the European Hairstyling Competition in Brussels (a first). In 1964 there were between 200 - 300 Roffler stylists. In 1979 there were over 4,400 Roffler salons nation wide. Framesi Hair Color was introduced into the United States by Roffler. Framesi, Roffler & Color PLUS were then combined forming FP Brands and later purchased by Styling Technology. As the hair products industry evolved the company was owned by several other groups and once again, in the we can do it ourselves, American tradition, Roffler once again "stands alone."
